Scheduling a Checklist to Recur
Roles: Owner, Director
Childcare task list scheduling means assigning a task list definition to a room with a recurrence: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annually. Once set, the checklist appears on its own. Nobody has to remember to create it.
Scheduling a list on the Task Lists page asks for the recurrence and, optionally, a due time. Daily routines like opening and closing are the obvious case, but the frequency that matters most here is the longer one. A fire drill log that's supposed to happen monthly has no daily reminder pushing it to happen. A quarterly safety review has even less. Scheduling either one directly removes the dependence on anyone's memory.
A due time changes what's possible to detect. Without one, a checklist sitting "in progress" has no way to be flagged as overdue, because nothing defines when it should have been finished. With one, Childcare Owl can tell the difference between still being worked on and running late — which is what makes missed checklist detection work at all.
A single task list definition can be scheduled to more than one room, and scheduled again later on a different recurrence. Nothing about doing it once locks it in.
