Requiring Manager Signoff on a Task

Configure: Owner, Director Perform: Owner, Director, Manager

Manager signoff is a second approval, separate from the original completion. A staff member finishes a flagged task the same way they'd finish any other. Afterward, someone with oversight — a Manager, Director, or Owner — reviews and confirms that specific task, independently, at a different time.

Setting the requirement happens when building or editing a task list. Each task has its own requires-signoff toggle, so a checklist can mix tasks that need it with ones that don't. A room-level override can also change the default for a single location if it has different requirements than the rest of the center.

Performing the signoff is available to anyone with Manager, Director, or Owner access. A task shows as awaiting signoff the moment staff complete it, visible to anyone who can approve it, filterable from the day's list instances. Signing off requires the task already be complete — there's nothing to approve before that.

An occurrence with any flagged, unsigned task shows as awaiting signoff even when every task is technically checked off. That distinction separates staff not finishing something from staff finishing it while nobody with oversight ever confirmed it — two different problems, with two different people responsible for fixing them.
