Training Hours

Logging a Training Session

Roles: Owner, Director, Manager

Centers usually train staff in groups, an in-service day, a webinar, a CDA course, so logging follows that shape: one entry per session, not one form per person per course.

From the Log tab, Log Training Session asks for a topic, an optional provider, the date, and the hours, then a checklist of active staff to mark who attended. Submitting credits that many hours to every person checked, counted toward whichever requirement applies to them, annual, new-hire, or both.

Backdate the session date to when the training actually happened, not the day you're entering it, if you're logging something after the fact. Hours only count toward a new-hire rule if the date falls inside that person's actual window, so an accurate date matters more here than it would for a simple tally.

Logged sessions are permanent, the same as task completions and Rounds submissions, so review names and hours before submitting. Click any staff member's name on the Staff Training tab to see their full session history.
